Our Deanery is made up of six benefices (groups of parishes) set in the stunning and inspirational landscape of the North York Moors, and taking in a sweep of the North Yorkshire Jurassic Coast from Staithes to Robin Hood’s Bay. All our churches have something special about them and represent a continuous Christian presence in the area stretching back over 1,400 years.
At present, following the advice of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York on March 17th, there will be no public worship in the Deanery until further notice. However, many churches will remain open, and we hope you will call in and say a prayer if you are passing.
Our safeguarding policies and procedures are those of the Diocese of York to be found here: www.dioceseofyork.org.uk/safeguarding
